  • This page is work in progress.

This section of our world city bike toolkit is being compiled to provide you with one-click entry to a growing set of background information and references to help you better understand the nature and detail of the first-stage Vancouver PBS feasability study, which is looking into the groundwork for a full scale public bicycle system in time for the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.

This is in our view a highly promising project - the city in many ways appears to lend itself well to this kind of project. And can benefit from its implementation.

It is also an important one, since it will have very high international visibility and as such will be a great example to learn from for other cities as they decide, plan and implement their own city bike programs. More good examples are needed and the Vanouver team has a golden opportunity to lead by example at a time when the planet badly needs good ones.
