The Car Free Day Approach
One of the primary objectives of a Car Free Day, as we understand it, is to take steps in order to develop a new, broad-based political consensus for change in the host city or community. The immediate target is to break the paralysis which is holding back the possible and necessary swift evolution toward a more sustainable transportation system in that place.
