New Moblity Advisory/Brief No. 2: Road/Congestion Pricing, etc.

This volume will be distributed in advance to all those who have registered for this section, and will be one of the main background pieces in support of the Session.

For the present time, our objective here is to provide you with a first idea of the very substantial base of information and opinions (many and quite nicely contradictory as one might well expect) which are being cranked out as interest in the London and Stockholm projects lead the way. But the art of policy lies in ones ability to synthesize all this detail and contradictions into a coherent, well thought out world-level strategy for your city.

    Issues under discussion

The following points are among those that have come up repeatedly over the last two months in discussions with carshare operators, experts and city colleagues across Europe and North America as part of the run-up to this session; so we list them here to give you a better idea perhaps of the range and focus of the discussions during this very intense one day A/L Session. There is a lot of ground to be covered here as you can see; we shall try to cover those that are most important from the vantage of cities and organizations that are there to make carsharing happen.
