The goal of this Web site and supporting program is not to write beautiful prose, but to put new technology and organizational capabilities to work in order to build a solid foundation for specific, near term project initiatives and remedial actions in our state -- actions that take dead aim at the pressing economic and life quality issues of our people and our communities. The bottom line: (1) 100% employment and with it the creation of viable 21st century jobs for people living in and around smaller rural towns, (2) massive improvement of educational levels across the board (we did not say "training"), and (3) steady and visible economic and social progress for the poorest and most needy in our state. How are we going to achieve this? Why together, of course!
That said, the present (draft) Web site is still far too discursive and incomplete to provide the authoritative backdrop that is needed to position, negotiate and begin to implement actual demonstration and remedial projects. That is however the goal of the present in-process rewrite effort. In the meantime, we at least have a start here. We'll get perfect later.
