NEXT STEPS

Near-Term Concerns and Objectives

Here briefly are the main tasks which at present are receiving the bulk our attention. If you have ideas, suggestions or other proposals to put before our team, let us hear from you. [Tap here to send your message or proposal.]

Near-Term Work Priorities

  1. Continue to firm up and expand overall program and supporting materials.

  2. Respond in a timely manner to all request for additional information, leads and proposals.

  3. Advance formal pilot in cooperating Basque Schools beginning in first half of 1997, following up on results of Einstein Audit (while laying the base for the expanded 1997/98 program).

  4. Supply materials for Technology & Human Resource Audit, working with schools and other groups wishing to run them. Create an overall database and commentary with results for others to share.

  5. Try to get a small number of cooperating first-stage pilot projects on line in the next semester at different age levels, with hopefully 1-2 in Paris area. (Hopefully encouraging a couple of them to get on-line with videoconferencing/group work telecoms circuit as well.)

  6. Generate media articles, etc. in support of program (any ideas here?).

  7. Obtain financial and other forms of backing for the Bilbao pilot

  8. Ditto for Einstein program overall

  9. Initiate local volunteer program to help here with a variety of tasks

  10. Get approval for use of Einstein logo.

  11. Continue to develop and expand Web site, including links with key sites and programs.

  12. Contact other leading groups working on learning problems via computer-based self-teaching

  13. Develop and expand "Einstein Learning Games" activity

  14. Try to get all main international partners into our videoconferencing/group work circuit.

  15. Develop an informal "Friends of Einstein" consortium to lend support and ideas
