This international datebook intends to offer a handy overview of events, conferences and happenings previewed around the world for the coming year which in our view may prove of advantage to visitors to the electronic environment. It is arranged in chronological order, and offers a composite of the individual menologies of the other electronic environment sites. Like many elements of this site, it is intended to be largely a self-generating database, fed by users and colleagues around the world. What is meant by an event: The menology does not stop with physical meetings. We are looking for and at the raw materials of the future. This listing will therefore attempt to provide advance information on such exceptional events as: conferences, courses, brainstorming sessions, competitions, workshops , training sessions, programmes, demonstration projects, legislative debates, plan reviews, manifestations, media events, special numbers of journals, exhibitions, expositions, religious services, parades, protests, etc., which involve or address the issues that interest those who consult and work with this site.
How to submit your event for posting: It is asked that submittals be made directly to WebMeister following the standard template or via e-mail, though fax and snail mail entries will also be considered for inclusion (with kind thanks for putting your entry into the standardized form which facilitates rapid reference). Entries for past events will not be removed from the database, since many users may be interested in informing themselves and following the results, even after the event.
Language policy: We would repeat here the language policy of the electronic environment, namely that there is no policy. All communications can be in the language which you believe will be most appropriate to the public whom you wish to address (though it would be pleasant if you could supply us with at least a brief English language summary for those who may wish to know what you are up to but lack the necessary language skills.
