The easiest way to sign in is just to fill in the following, which will automatically activate your application.

Once this has been processed by our robot, you will receive an email with the information you need to enter this section of the site. The welcoming note also explains how to fine tune the message function (see Fast Track below) and how to un-subscribe whenever you wish.

Now you are in, what about taking a few minutes to get a feel for your working space. The best way to do this is to go to the Start Here section that has been prepared just for these purposes.

Fast Track

Short on time, but not so short on interest. Here is what we can propose:

Click Partners here or on the menu.
Locate your email address on the list. (Use the alphabetical index at the bottom since the list is a long one.)
Click your name and reset the Subscription box, so that it shows Web Only/No Mail.
Then make a habit of checking in here from time to time to see if there is anything new that might be useful to you.

And What If You Can't Get in, or Forgot Your Password?

That's simple. Here's the drill.

Just enter eGroups home page at http://www.egroups.com
Where you see, mid-page, the slot to put your email address to register... Don't! Instead click, "Forgot?".
You then just calmly follow the routine, bearing in mind that it will take about two minutes for the robot to send you via email your 'validation number'. (Be sure to check your email to get it.)
From there on in, it's quick. Just follow the several instructions and you are back in and fully registered and ready to go.

Thank you for your patience in this. We know that can be trying, but neither did we learn to read over night.

Who Else Is Participating

No sense getting involved in any network unless the company is good. Have a look at the Members List to check this out for yourself. And better yet, why don't you take the time to bring one or two other of your strongest colleagues and collaborators into the group? In that way you can be absolutely sure that your time will be well spent.

A Closing Word on eGroups

For the last several years we have been using eGroups as the supporting platform for this central communications and information storage function. We chose to do this because we felt they provided good functionality in support of our independent cooperative program, and because it was free (bearing in mind that we carry out all these programs under The Commons without any form of external financial support... so money is scarce). The only shortcoming of this arrangement is the publicity messages and the need to sign in, but this has been judged by most of our colleagues as a bearable inconvenience under the circumstances.

On the other hand, you may have some better ideas for us. We know we can do better and want to hear from you. So if you have leads, free storage space or money to throw at the problem, don't be shy. We're ready to listen.
