Summary Bio
Nancy Helm is a bureaucrat with a talent for working creatively within the system. She is employed by the US Environmental Protection Agency and is currently on loan to the City of Seattle to assist with the start-up of the Office of Sustainability and Environment. In a nearly 15- year career with the US EPA Nancy has done policy and program development for air quality, hazardous waste, pollution prevention and environmental management systems. Nancy has persuaded the city govenment to sign on the Earth Car Free Day as the Seattle Car Free Earth Day Challenge.
