Curitiba References

Here are some references for electronic and print sources that can help us better to understand the Curitiba project and the long term planning and political activity behind it. If you haven't been there recently to check things out for yourself, this is a pretty good interim substitute until you actually make it there.

We intend to add to these listings selectively. Do you have any suggestions for us that we can share with all?

Electronic Sources:

A quick word here on organization and order of presentation. We have tried to give the first time visitor a broad opening introduction first, and then follow with sources that explain, then comment critically on the system, its planning, etc. In the second half of this listing we identify some more general sources which are intended to provide an broader view of what the city is all about... important because the transport system is, of course, an integral part fo this greater whole.
