Ms. Allalat is Environmental Policy Manager in the Automotive Directorate of the Department of Trade and Industry in Great Britain. She is responsible for liaison with the UK car industry and the European Commission on emissions and environmental legislation. As well, her Department sponsors and encourages the use of alternative fuels. Ms. Allalat also stays current on the policies of other countries in the areas of urban transportation and reducing emissions and pollution.
