Eric Britton is founder of the Paris-based consultancy EcoPlan International, designed as a lively and effective forum of study, international collaboration and independent counsel on issues involving the understanding and management of technology as it affects people in their daily lives, with the long term commitment that such issues clearly require. In support of this objective. he founded The Commons in 1973, to serve an "invisible college" bringing together individuals and groups concerned with advancing the sustainabilty agenda in our daily lives. Britton has a long term affiliation with the OECD and European Commission, has served as advisor to more than twenty different national agencies, and authored more than two hundred papers, reports and chapters of publications. His latest book, Rethinking Work: New Concepts of Work in a Knowledge Society, has just been reissued in its second edition by the European Commission.
